Welcome to RENSEP Research Dossiers, a publication series of the Research Network for the Study of Esoteric Practices.
RENSEP Research Dossiers are commissioned collections of texts developed in relation to research projects funded, supported, or otherwise connected to RENSEP. These dossiers brings together scholars, practitioners, artists, and other relevant contributors to reflect on a specific project, theme, collaboration, or research outcome.
While Praxis-Knowledge is RENSEP’s peer-reviewed open access journal, the Research Dossiers have a different function. They are designed to document and extend the intellectual work emerging from RENSEP’s research activities. They may include scholarly essays, reflective texts, artist statements, project reports, interviews, visual material, and other forms of research-based documentation.
The series reflects RENSEP’s broader mission to advance the study of esoteric practices through transdisciplinary, praxeological, and experience-oriented approaches. By focusing on specific research projects and collaborations, the dossiers offer a space for sustained reflection on how esoteric practices are studied across different contexts.
Research Dossiers are published open access and are normally commissioned by RENSEP in connection with funded research, institutional partnerships, conferences, or other initiatives developed within or alongside the network.
All Research Dossiers undergo an internal scholarly review process involving members of the Praxis-Knowledge editorial team as well as members of the RENSEP Board and Scientific Committee.
