SCIENTIFIC JOURNAL “OCCULT PERSPECTIVES”

Occult Perspectives is a scientific review devoted to the study of esoteric practices and intended for RENSEP’s members.

Occult Perspectives only publishes high quality academic works via a double blind evaluation process. This does not mean, however, that an academic qualification is a pre-requisite for publication. In fact, RENSEP makes a number of tools available to independent researchers to train in scientific writing.

Occult Perspectives aims to participate in the emergence of interdisciplinary studies on esoteric practices. We particularly encourage articles contributing to the methodological debate.

We welcome contributions from a variety of disciplines such as history, anthropology, psychology, philosophy, sociology and on a wide range of subjects as :

Neoplatonism, Gnosticism, Hermeticism, ancient Jewish mysticism, Islamic magic, kabbalah, alchemy, mysticism, magic, witchcraft, mesmerism, occultism, Tantrism, yoga, shamanism, Theosophy, New Age

Although each annual issue of Occult Perspectives is thematic, we keep the call for papers open and reserve the right to publish special issues as soon as we gather a sufficient number of articles on a given theme. We therefore also encourage contributions outside the theme. In addition, we also welcome guest editors to propose themes for the annual issue. If you wish to be a guest editor, do not hesitate to reach out to the Editorial Board.
