About the exhibition: “Judith Noble and Sarah King work with themes of memory, the mythic, enchantment, and the interplay between the human and the more-than-human. Their work emphasizes the importance of care, repair, and acts of remembering. It is a kind of conjuring that happens at the edges—the thin places where we can meet and dialogue with the more-than-human. […] Judith and Sarah articulate the fragility of existence, emphasizing the importance of care, repair, and acts of looking, telling, remembering, and conjuring. Their works collectively navigate a place between worlds—at the edge of both the deep imaginal and vulnerability—seeking to illuminate the profound relationships between time, memory, and the more-than-human world.”

About Per: “Per Faxneld is a Full Professor of the History of Religions at Södertörn University. He has published three monographs on esotericism, including the award-winning ‘Satanic Feminism: Lucifer as the Liberator of Woman in Nineteenth-Century Culture’ (Oxford University Press, 2017). His research has focused on the cultural reception of esotericism around 1900, and he has written articles on that subject for art catalogues produced by galleries and museums including Liljevalchs, the Edvard Munch Museum and the Akseli Gallen-Kallela Museum. He has also worked with museums such as Millesgården, the Nobel Museum and Museo de Arte Moderno in Mexico City, and has lectured at the Strindberg Museum, Thielska Gallery and elsewhere. His other research interests include secularisation, history of film, rural folk religion and spiritual aspects of Japanese martial arts.”
